About Me

I wasn't always a health and fitness fanatic,I tried alot of different sports such as tennis, badminton and cricket and although not genetically gifted for sport I always enjoyed giving it a go. This is now what I encourage my clients to do. It is in giving things a go which gives you the confidence to expand your personal boundaries.

I believe what makes me stand out from the crowd as a trainer is my personal touch-I really try and get a feel for how my clients tick on a day to day basis and construct their programs and nutrition around their lifestyle. You have to be realistic and listen and that is something I have been told is my strength.

Even if you lack self belief now I can help you get some in spades, because once you see the changes in your health and your body, you will never be the same person!
It is in the act of trying and overcoming personal obstacles that led me to set up this business. I am passionate about helping people 'climb their mountains'. Overcoming my own has certainly given me a new perspective on life and my clients appreciate my life experience

Training

I have been training on and off since 1992 and have experimented with many different styles.

Currently my regime is something like this-and you will notice it is a real mixture!

Circuit Training Supersets Core and Bosu Training Speed and Agility Pilates and Yoga

I tend to do LESS training rather than more, purely because my body needs more time to recover and grow than most. I train 3-4 times per week and when I do compete I train 5-6 days per week but for no longer than 8 weeks at a time.

My one piece of advice to anyone that lifts weights is to learn proper technique-this ensures correct muscle recruitment and minimizes injuries. A great site for learning correct weight lifting technique is www.exrx.net
